I love The Coup. Its like, part nerdy guy, part angry ass-political activist, and part laid back cool muthafucker. Not sticking to the basic cut n paste hip hop genre, The Coup mix up things, and experiment with the sound, making it a joy to listen to each track, unlike alot of monotonous generic hip hop. Social & political observations, mixed with a good dose of humour and personality, and uplifting beats that even a white boy could dance to. This album is just busting with classics, from the head bopping floor-packing Laugh/Love/Fuck - "I'm here to Laugh Love Fuck & Liquor, and help the damn Revolution come quicker", and My Favourite Mutiny - "The governments of the world are shark infested, they got their own weaponry like Charlton Heston" to laid back, red-eyed and funky "I Just Wanna Lay Around All Day In Bed With You" and "Baby, Lets Have A Baby Before Bush Do Something Crazy".
